Please follow these instructions carefully so as not to damage your timepiece.
NOTE: Do NOT try to adjust any of the date functions if the time on your watch is between 5:30 P.M. and 7:00 A.M. Doing so may damage the chronograph mechanism as the calendar functions are engaged at this time for changing over to the next day.
ALSO, you must not try to change the position of the
moon-phase disk when the time on the watch is between
10PM and 2AM. Doing so may damage the moon-phase mechanism.
Button and pusher descriptions:
A: Chronograph pusher to start and stop chrono.
B: Winding crown to wind, set date, set month, and set time.
C: Chronograph pusher for resetting chronograph only.
D: Recessed pusher for setting the day of the week.
E: Recessed pusher for setting the moon-phase.
Setting the time:
Pull the crown (B) to the first position and set time clockwise
only. Care must be taken not to move the hands counterclockwise as they may go past midnight into the previous day and damage the date or moon-phase mechanisms. Notice that the seconds hand will continue to run as this movement does not have hacking seconds.
Setting the date and month:
Pull the crown (B) to the second position and turn it upward to change the date. Continue turning the crown to set the month. Example, if the watch is currently set to October 25th and it needs to be set to November 8th, you must turn the crown upwards until you go through the remaining dates in the month of October and change into the month of November.
Setting the day and moon-phase:
Push the lower left corrector (D) with the push pin provided with your timepiece to set the day of the week.
Push the upper left corrector (E) with the push pin provided with your timepiece to set the moon-phase.
Common questions and answers:
Q: How can I determine whether it is AM or PM if my watch does not have
an indicator?
A: If you have taken your timepiece out from storage the current time
on the dial is 8 o' clock and you do not know if the time is set to a.m. or p.m.,
do the following: Pull the crown (B) out to the first position and turn the hands
clockwise until the date changes and until you get past 7 a.m. This will ensure
that you are in A.M. time and that it is safe to set any function on your timepiece
at this point.
Q: What do I do if I need to set my watch between 5:30 PM and 7:00
AM?
A: Please read the question and answer above, follow those steps then set your watch. Setting the time on the watch between these hours will not damage the movement. This precaution is solely for setting the calendar and moon-phase mechanisms as they are engaged for switching between these hours.
Q: Can I press the chronograph buttons while I am setting the time on
my watch?
A: NO. We advise you NOT to do this. Doing so may cause damage to the mechanism.
